The following section describes the installation of the Ptx-Viewer and the necessary components of the installation.
Requirements
Installation
The installation is very easy. After opening Firefox you have 3 possible ways:
- Drag and drop the Setup file (*.xpi see above) to Firefox
- Right click at the Setup file (*.xpi see above) and select "Open With" Firefox
- Double click at the Setup file (*.xpi see above) and select "Firefox", if the extension XPI is not already associated with Firefox.
First Steps
- Open Mozilla Firefox
- Click on toolbar button , or Select Tools-> Ptx Loader. A new page will loaded.
- Click on button "Browse..." and select a OTX or PTX file
Licensing
The usage of the viewer without valid license is only allowed for a time limited evaluation purpose or in a non productive environment. To install a license do the following:
- Contact emotive for a new license. You will get a license file.
- Install the license file via the button "Add License..."
PTX-Viewer features
- Load a Ptx file and draw horizontal tree. Nodes are Packages, Documents and Procedures.
- Use the same design like for documents
- If the user clicks at a document the document is opened in an new tab
- If the user clicks at a procedure the related document is opened in an new tab and the procedure is selected
- Table about the content of the index.xml (Columns: Filename, Category, UpdateState, CreationDate, Creator; table is only visible in detailed mode)
